Stop wasting money on self-help books...
Do this instead.
Hey guys,
Let me let you in on a little secret you won’t find in a self-help book.
You won’t find the answers you need sitting on a shelf.
You’ll find them out in the real world!
Why? Because it's raw.
➢ It's real.
➢ It's unfiltered.
➢ It's life-changing.
I’ve spent years of my life traveling all over the world.
And each trip teaches me more about life and myself than the last.
When you travel alone, you're the captain of your own ship in uncharted waters.
➢ No one to blame.
➢ No one to lean on.
➢ No familiar routines to fall back on.
Just you, yourself, and a backpack.
And I’ll be honest, it can be fucking terrifying…
But it's also exhilarating!!
You'll discover strengths you never knew you had.
You'll confront weaknesses you've been avoiding.
You'll learn to trust yourself like never before because you don’t have a choice.
Imagine this:
You're in a foreign country…
A heavy pack on your shoulders, and the world at your feet.
You don't speak the language. You're lost.
What do you do??
You fuckin figure it out, guys!
Because you have to! And it’s in these moments, that you grow.
And you open the doors to become:
➢ More resilient.
➢ More confident.
➢ More authentically you.
Solo travel isn't just about seeing new places or ticking off bucket list items.
It's about seeing yourself in a new light, free from any preconceived ideas of who you ought to be.
You'll rip your comfort zone to shreds.
You'll meet new people, try new things, and challenge your preconceptions.
But most importantly, you'll be forced to consider your ideal version of self.
When that plane lands on the other side of the world, you're just another traveler.
Just you, yourself, and a backpack.
This world is a classroom full of lessons that no book can teach.
And it’s out there waiting for you to come learn.
So, if I can offer one piece of advice…
Jam your stuff in a backpack…
And get on the plane.
The person who returns won't be the same one who left.
And that's the most beautiful part of the journey.
I’ll see you on the other side,
Your friend from the Wilderness,
Michael “Finding Myself“ Mitchell
