Is this burning out?

Hey guys,

Have you ever found yourself so wrapped up in something that you lose track of time, forget to eat, and before you know it, you’re completely drained?

Well, I am feeling that sensation at this very moment, but the day is almost done and I wanted to touch on this subject for you all.

Because burnout can sneak up on you.

One moment you’re full of energy and passion, and the next, you’re exhausted and uninspired. It’s the dark side of overworking and focusing too much on one thing.

But recognizing the signs early can help you take steps to prevent it.

Here’s what you can do to help get rid of those feelings of burnout:

1. Take Breaks

It sounds simple.. because it is.

  • Step away from your screen,

  • Go for a walk,

  • Or just sit quietly for a few minutes.

These small pauses can refresh your mind and help maintain your focus.

2. Set Boundaries

Establish clear work hours and stick to them.

It’s easy to let work bleed into your personal time, especially if you’re someone who works from home.

But setting boundaries helps you maintain a healthy work-life balance.

3. Stay Active

Physical activity is a great way to relieve stress.

Whether it’s a gym session, a yoga class, or a simple stretching routine, moving your body can boost your mood and energy levels.

4. Connect with Others

Isolation can exacerbate feelings of burnout.

If you can, make time to connect with friends, family, or colleagues.

A quick chat or meeting up for coffee can provide much-needed support and perspective.

5. Prioritize Self-Care

Self-care isn’t just about bubble baths and spa days (Although the sauna is calling my name..)

It’s about making time for activities that nourish your soul. Read a book, listen to music, meditate, or engage in a hobby you love.

6. Reflect on Your Workload

Sometimes, burnout is a sign that you’re taking on too much.

Reflect on your workload and see if there are tasks you can delegate or postpone.

Focus on what truly matters and let go of the rest.

7. Seek Help if Needed

If feelings of burnout persist, don’t hesitate to seek professional help.

Therapists and counselors can provide valuable tools to help manage stress and improve your mental health.

Burnout is real, and it’s something many of us face at some point. But it doesn’t have to be a forever feeling.

Just make sure you’re not overdoing it, and if you are feeling burnt out, try some of the things on this list.

Until next week,

Your friend from the wilderness,
